On April 5, 2025, the French specialized event for the overseas key regional competition of the "Rongpiao Cup" High-Level Talent Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition officially kicked off in Paris, France, at La Defense (French Economic CBD). This competition was guided by the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee Talent Work Leading Group Office, hosted by the Chengdu Municipal Party Committee Talent Work Leading Group Office, and organized by Chengdu Industrial Investment Group Co., Ltd.

During my time studying in Montpellier, I witnessed how France transformed creativity into reality—from laboratory-inspired technology that transformed the world, from discussions in cafes to business models shaping the globe. It is precisely this ability to turn 'spiritual imagination' into 'down-to-earth' that has led me to decide to stay and delve deeper into the field of venture capital.

The CEO of the China-France Cross-border Accelerator, Han Junying, said she returned to France in 2020 and has been working on a Sino-French cross-border technology co-creation project. She also came out of admiration for this competition. We are working on a biopharmaceutical-grade microalgae project using photoreactors, which is an excellent Sino-French cross-border initiative. Han Junying introduced that the microalgae for this project are produced according to French organic standards, meeting significant market demand and positioning it as a high-end consumer market in Europe, with production taking place domestically. Currently, the project has been implemented in French Guiana and Vietnam, and we are very much looking forward to seeing a complementary Sino-French project take root in Chengdu.

30 roadshow projects bringing together over 10 foreign experts and more than 40 PhDs to participate in this competition. The participating projects focus on multiple fields including electronic information, equipment manufacturing, biopharmaceuticals, and novel materials. At the same time, for the first time, a dual scoring mechanism was implemented both online and offline, with experts from both home and abroad participating in the roadshow review and collaboratively selecting high-quality projects.

After intense competition, six projects emerged victorious and won the first, second, and third prizes in the overseas key regional specialized competition (France region) of the 2025 "Rongpiao Cup" High-Level Talent Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. According to the organizers, this competition spans two months from project solicitation to formal roadshows. By selecting outstanding overseas innovation and entrepreneurship projects, it focuses on building a "shared international talent" platform to deepen integration and enhance value for various overseas talents.

The competition also invited venture capital, funds, banks, and other financial institutions to integrate government-guided fund resources, provide precise connectivity services for projects, and offer competition guidance, project incubation, and market connectivity.
